Seeing Glitter Mini 9, a rockin female power trio hailing from San Francisco, seemed like an auspicious beginning to a much-anticipated night. The tightly crafted and enthusiastic pop expertise that these women served up whet my appetite for yet more treasures, shining with Cuckoo and the title track from their latest seven-song CD "Break Up at the Rock Show." Fans of early Nirvana or Screaming Trees material should take special note--this might be your new favorite band. When I spoke with Lesley Poirier, bassist/singer for the Glitter, I learned that theyre shopping for a record deal. Keep your eyes peeled, because they have what it takes to make it professionally without compromising their integrity.
