::Amoeba Records
We've Made it!!
Got a call from Amoeba Records saying they were out of Break Up and Kiss The Liberator, so went down to drop them off. It was a shock and a thrill to see that right behind 'Gary Glitter' was the 'Glitter Mini 9' section. We've truly arrived! Ironic ain't it?

::Thank You!
We want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported GM9 over the past six years. It's been amazing. Over 250 of you came out to the El Rio on Saturday 1/25 to see our last show, and we were totally blown away by the love. It was an awesome night for us, we couldn't have wished for a more perfect send off! Check back soon for info on our new projects.

January 2003::WE QUIT!!
That’s right—after six years of ex-boyfriend-fueled guitar rock rants Glitter Mini 9 is calling it quits* and playing a final gear-blowing, stage-diving, curse-spewing show at El Rio on Saturday, Jan. 25. Come for the best-of set list—stay for the free merch give-away and late-night cocktail marathon! The band is taking song requests in advance to put together the last set list ever, so send in your votes now. For anyone who cares, the girls are parting ways to pursue other projects: Cha is looking into (seriously) coroner photography, Lesley will be honing her pop song-writing sensibilities in a new project and Mauri is pursuing an acting career in independent film. We'll miss you!
*(If however, you happen to be a big record exec. and would like to sign GM9, we could be persuaded if the price is right.)

No fucking way! What a plate-of-shrimp:* Last night I popped in your first(?) home-made demo CD that I got a couple years ago and was reminded how good you girls rock. I even looked on your website last night to see if there were any up-comming shows. And now this in my mailbox?! That sucks. At least I have a chance tosee you one last time and hopefully pick up your latest CD. Maybe even a t-shirt.
Rest in peace!
- Joe
*Repoman

hey ladies-
i'm so sad you're breaking up! but i'm glad your last show is at el rio on a night i can go- would you please play "good idea" for me??
i first saw you play back in '98, and me and my friend andrew followed you around like groupies for a while. good luck to all of you on your new endeavors.
-Malaena

This is truly a sad day in rock history. I wish you
the best, I will definitly be there to soak up every
last chord. You guys were among my top favorite bands
ever, I think you have a unique harmony and sound that
separates your music from so much of the crap rock
that is out there. you guys were as genuine as they
come and I will always cherish the few times I got to
see you live. Again best of luck and I will keep an
eye out for the reunion tour. You Rock!
peace
-michael

Sad to hear it's over, I really enjoyed your shows while I lived in the Bay Area.  Wish I could be there for your final show.  Good luck to you all in the future.  Perhaps you should use this mailing list to keep us updated on the progress of your new careers (though I'm not sure we'll wanna see Cha's work).
-Dav

"RONNIE'S RACING SCHOOL"!!! "ARE YOU BAD?"!!!
Those are my votes. I'll miss you kids, 'twas good stuff.
-Mhyk

Here I am in England,surfing the web,and happen to come across,via Epitonic, a band that I've never heard of. They're called Glitter Mini 9 and sound great. So I find their website...and what do i find..? You're splitting up after Saturday's gig..!
Typical,bloody typical....still, all the best in whatever you all end up doing.
I can't understand how you managed to escape my attention and why you
aren't more well known.
Keep On Rockin'

The show airs on Friday Sept. 27th at 1:30 am. Set your VCR!

the maxi, made possible by indie label Guns of Appleton, was recorded, mixed & mastered at The Plant in Saulsalito. With fast car Tracy Chapman in studio B, we were loving the girl vibes.
