Northern Cal native Chavaughan Levias started
playing drums at the impressionable age of twelve
in a Baptist church choir. She was saved by rock
and roll when she first heard Terry Bozzio pounding
the skins in Missing Persons and went on to take
drum lessons from Bozzio's own teacher. When
forcibly removed from her kit, she's been known
to spend time stockpiling port or obsessively
snapping photographs of dead, rusty things in
their natural habitats. She hates it when her
bandmates point out that she now plays the
devil's music and that science fiction is for nerds. |
